Biohacking on the go

I was up at 3:08 AM this morning (seven minutes before my alarm). For those who know me and say, "What's with the alarm, Mr. No Alarm?" I say there's no room for error when you have a 6 AM flight to catch. Turns out, I didn't need it anyway. For those who are curious, I still managed to get an Oura sleep score of 78.

The last time I was up this early for a flight, I was heading back to the Midwest in January to visit my ailing mother. Unfortunately, today's trip is due to another death, this time my girlfriend's mother. It's been a rough 2024 so far.

I have my travel routine down thanks to many years of business trips. In fact, my first flight goes to Baltimore, where I used to travel every week in 2016-2017. That was the stint that completely wrecked my sleep. When I rolled off that assignment, my first priority was fixing sleep.

There are some simple biohacks one can do to optimize travel day:

  • Proper hydration: Water with salt and BEAM minerals per usual. I also have my Echo hydrogen water bottle.
  • Immune support supplements: Vitamin D, Vitamin C, magnesium, Quercetin, and Zinc.
  • Morning PEMF session and another one as soon as possible after I land.
  • Compression shirt and pants
  • Junk-light-blocking glasses
  • Leela Quantum H.E.A.L. capsule
  • Noise-cancelling earbuds. I generally prefer wired earbuds, but for travel convenience, I will use AirPods Pro.
  • Fast at least until lunch (My indulgence this morning was coffee.
