Chores

I am feeling tired today and not for any particular reason - its just one of those “I can’t be bothered” days. I feel restless, that I should be doing something, but don’t have the energy to find it. I amble around the house, drifting between cups of tea and coffee, filling my empty hole with getting laundry done or running the vacuum round and emptying the bins. Everything feels like a monumental effort, sapping my will and energy at every turn.

I guess doing chores means I am doing “something” rather than laying on the sofa or going back to bed. I am also getting the odd “PING!” from my work laptop as another email or ticket arrives that needs my attention for 5 minutes.

Perhaps I will go and clean the kitchen surfaces next. They are well overdue a good rinse and polish. Maybe I will put my headphones on and listen to some pumping Goa Trance music to see if that improves my mood. Or perhaps, it is just time for another coffee…
