I haven't officially back to work

Following the past few years’ traditions, I will try to choose a “Good Day” to return to work after the Lunar New year break. This year the best day to start work is tomorrow, Friday.

I have been getting work messages after the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year break because the official public holidays for Lunar New Year in Singapore are only the first two days. So when people get back to work, they start to email / WhatsApp their issues.

While I am still away from work, I can’t avoid the need to reply to these messages and help with some checking; it’s pretty minor, I think not more than 30 minutes, but still, it’s disturbing when you are in the festival mood.

“I haven’t officially been back to work” is my reply to those unimportant work messages, but I will follow up once I am back. Yeah, let’s keep the boundary clear to the clients.
