Making meaning

The question of the meaning of life often gets phrased wrong. I find myself thinking, “What is the meaning of my life?” I try to extract meaning from my bones. But I’m not here to justify my life. I had no say in that decision to make me exist.

Meaning is what I find in the world to care about. I get to decide that.

This morning my meaning was my newsletter. I’m updating the visuals after generating 20k new images over the past couple days. I’ll probably never use more than 200 of them before I decide to run another batch with updated models. But this lets me be selective.

From the last batch I picked images that were the least broken. From this batch I can look for meaning.

Love this! “Extract meaning from my bones” as a way to describe the philosophy classes I attended in university is so accurate haha
