New product idea

I attended a client meeting on Teams this morning. At the exact moment that someone was to provide an update, his doorbell rang and set off multiple dogs barking their heads off. The group moved on to the next agenda item, and no one circled back for that guy's update. It gave me a brilliant idea for a product.

The remote-controlled doorbell is perfect for dog owners who want complete control. If you're a remote worker who has been derelict and would like to avoid being held to account, simply activate the remote at the appropriate time, and you'll buy yourself some time. Don't have dogs? No problem. Choose the speaker configuration that includes realistic and random dog barking immediately following the doorbell.

I've even started the sales copy.

Need a Way Out? Let the Dogs Bark!

Introducing BarkBreak™ — the ultimate escape tool for work-from-home warriors. Whether you're stuck in a never-ending Zoom call or being grilled in a performance review, just press the remote and ding dong!—your dogs do the talking (or barking). Instantly, chaos erupts, giving you a moment to "handle something urgent."

No dogs? No problem. Our speaker version comes with realistic, randomized barking to keep it believable. As a bonus, this version also includes static to portray a "bad connection" and buy you more time.

Upgrade to the BarkBreak™ Combo and get our stealthy mouse jiggler too — perfect for staying “active” while you step away.

Smart. Subtle. Hilarious.
Escape responsibly. Bark on command.

I thought you were gonna go in the opposite direction and propose a way to silence the background noise. I was going to suggest an AI solution for that. 🤣

Maybe you can have an option where someone breaks in and murders you offscreen (audio only).

I thought it was going to be a doorbell that dog’s don’t bark at.
I am sure there is already a doorbell that plays MP3s…
