Sales Envy
tao • 21 Sept 2021 •
It’s kind of demoralizing seeing other people make money when you can’t.
There is a “Wins!” channel in the paid Discord engagement group I am a member of and it is constantly pinging away, showing how people earned $109 for promoting a single sale.
Of course, I am supposed to find it inspiring, it should spur me on to bigger and better things. But at the moment, it just makes me feel useless.
I have to remember that some of these accounts have a higher number of followers than me and have been doing it a lot longer. The person with the most recent affiliate sale has over 6.5k followers - I am sure he gets lots of clicks and views on his promotions.
I guess I will get there one day.
I just need to stay positive.
It would be nice to just get 1 sale though…

I think the general consensus in these groups is that you don’t need lots of followers to make a sale.
It think (hope) it just makes it easier.
I crafted an amazing tweet yesterday. It currently has 2800 impressions and 18 clicks on the affiliate link.
I was hoping I was going to wake up with a sale this morning - nothing yet.
The affiliate cookie lasts for 30 days - so there is hope. I certainly didn’t buy the course on my first click.
Wow, 2800 impressions! I’m really curious to know about your account now haha!
Hehe - all in good time.
Once you open up GLL for me as an affiliate :D
Ah good idea! I wonder how I can do that… 🤔 some referral rewards would be nice
Wow 6.5k followers… have the group ever studied what the average follower count before one gets his first sale? Might be something more reachable to shoot for… I agree, on low morale days, seeing these kinds of successes (like MRR wins on Twitter) can dampen not inspire.
