The big dentist appointment

I suppose it wasn’t really that big. I just like saying “the big” in front of perfunctory tasks.

I learned my lesson and visit the dentist religiously every six months. Facetime with the dentist was all of ten minutes, half of which was just chit-chat. He reviewed the x-rays, and after conducting an oral exam, he declared me cavity-free with a healthy mouth. He asked if I had any questions. I asked if I could receive double the amount of fluoride because I sense that my pineal gland has started to become too de-calcified. Of course, the biological dentist does not use fluoride at all.

The bulk of the visit was done with the dental hygienist. She used a water pick, metal tools, and a high-powered toothbrush to give me a good cleaning. It’s not really painful, but the experience is a bit uncomfortable. I was practicing breathing techniques and controlled my reaction to the discomfort. She was very efficient.

Without question, oral health should be a priority, both for short-term and long-term health. This is definitely an area where an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.

I agree. I visit my dentist twice yearly to ensure that I keep my teeth little longer.

I recently changed dentist as our usual guy only accepted “contract” clients that pay monthly on account. The new lady (at the same practice) was very thorough and whereas the old guy would have said “ok, lets monitor that and see what it looks like in 6 months at your next appointment”, she would take action immediately. She almost seemed a little exasperated that I wasn’t aware, despite going every 6 months for ever. The guy never told me, but she noted that I have gum disease and receding gums and if I didn’t address it immediately I could be in trouble. I am not sure if she was being a bit overzealous or if he was more experienced and chilled about it all. Anyway, it gave me a wake up call about my teeth and I am glad I never opted to stay with him once he changed his payment methods.
