Vegas impressions night two

I’m on my way back to the homestead after a fantastic day in Vegas. Yesterday morning, I took advantage of the free breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It was better than your standard continental offering.

After breakfast, I moseyed down to the Hibiscus Spa for my pre-arranged massage. If you have never gotten a massage, you’re really missing out. You’re going to pay more for a massage at a spa, but you will not be disappointed with the service or the amenities. I opted for the hot stone add-on, and it was a very relaxing fifty minutes. Post-massage, I went into the dry sauna followed by the steam room. Nothing like a good sweat to get the toxins out. I was in relaxation mode yesterday afternoon until I made my way to Caesar’s Palace for the night’s festivities. I managed to squeeze a few dollars out of some dollar machines and came out ahead a little over $100 in terms of gambling. After walking around the Forum Shops, 5:00 rolled around rather quickly, and I headed to Joe’s Prime Steak.

There are plenty of great restaurants in Las Vegas, and I would rate Joe’s as one of my favorites. The service and food are always top-notch. In case you are curious, here is what I ordered:

  • Split stone crab appetizer
  • Cup of crab bisque
  • Filet oscar - medium rare
  • Slice of peanut butter pie with coffee

After dinner, it was time to head to the main event–Rod Stewart playing the hits. I’ve seen Rod many times over the years, and he’s still rockin’ at the ripe age of 77. I STILL haven’t gotten one of the signed soccer balls that he kicks out into the audience. It was a great show.

Vegas is back. I’m grateful for the opportunity to return and see life getting back to normal.

I did. I regretted reading it while fasting this morning.

Dang that philly steak and filet oscar looks gooood. That peanut butter cake was the most tempting
