2024 Review - Family

This year, I’m dedicating a post to our family’s changes. Our little girl is finally starting nursery, allowing my wife and me to better manage our lives after a whirlwind year and a half.

After being married for over ten years and having three kids, we’re starting to family planning.

1. We’ve combined our family funds and placed them in a bank offering better interest rates. We are planning how much we can save each year and have allocated funds for travel.

2. my wife and I discuss our plans each month, marking important dates on our shared calendar and preparing for the upcoming activities. We also review the kids’ progress, like finding a better badminton coach for our older child or enrolling our younger one in swimming lessons.

3. I’ve introduced my wife to Todoist, where we’ve begun scheduling recurring family tasks to keep us organized. This includes reminders for her to check the kids’ homework and for me to wash their clothes.

4. We’ve also achieved our travel goals! We’ve taken several local road trips, hosted my parents and mother-in-law, and even enjoyed a trip to Taiwan with the kids, which was a success!

We’re on the right track and plan to continue this in 2025, but I’d like to start involving the kids in our family planning soon!
