A different motorsport role

This weekend I’ll be heading back to the Winton 10 Hour Regularity Relay, an event I’ve competed in before and that has given me many great motorsport memories. This year, however, things will be a little different. I won’t be behind the wheel, but I’ll still be right in the middle of the action. I’ve been asked to take on the role of team manager, coordinating everything from the drivers’ schedule to organising the volunteer roster. It will certainly keep me busy, and I suspect managing a team for the weekend may prove almost as challenging as driving.

I’m looking forward to simply being back with the Zoom Zoom Club and the motorsport team. It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve been properly involved in a race weekend, and I’ve missed the atmosphere, teamwork, and camaraderie that come with these events. There’s something special about spending a weekend at the track with people who share the same enthusiasm. I may not be driving this time, but I’m genuinely excited to contribute in a different way and help the team have a successful, enjoyable weekend. Based on our previous results, a top-three place is possible.
