A new motorsport journey

I finally sold my track car today. It had been part of my life since 2013, carrying memories of early starts, long drives to circuits, and countless laps spent learning to drive a little better each time I climbed behind the wheel. Letting it go was never really about the car itself; it was about saying goodbye to a chapter that had given me so much enjoyment.
The sale came through the club community. A young guy spotted the car advertised on the club website and spoke with another member, who encouraged him to trust me and come have a look. That recommendation meant a lot. In car clubs, reputation matters, and it was reassuring to know someone was willing to vouch for both me and the car. When the prospective buyer arrived, we spent quite a while talking. We discussed the car’s history, the modifications I had made, the maintenance I had done, and the track days it had enjoyed. The more we talked, the more excited he became. He could see this was not a project requiring months of work, but a car he could take to the track with very little effort and enjoy immediately.
By the end of the conversation, his enthusiasm was clear. He left a deposit and was ready for it to be collected that week. I felt a mix of sadness and satisfaction. The car would be in good hands, and a new motorsport journey was just beginning for someone else.
