AI or no AI

AI isn’t all it’s cracked up to be - yet.

Today, Twitter is awash with AI powered tools to rewrite tweets, find relevant tweets for you to rewrite or an AI powered people finder.

As with a lot of these things, I signed up for the free trial, tried it for a few hours and cancelled. I get that these tools can help some people, such as non-English speakers, or those managing multiple social-media clients - but for me, it is overkill.

It is a popular saying that “Twitter is a just single thing said different ways”. Using an AI to rehash old content is just lazy and takes away your critical thinking, creativity and inspiration.

Rather than firing up a tool, scheduling a 100 posts from rewritten tweets, I would rather have that spark, grab my phone and tweet it out, no matter what the time. Sometimes, those flashes of inspiration can lead to the most popular content.

I will come back in 6 months and check it out again.

At least signing up gave me access to a few freebie PDFs. It will be worth being bombarded with sales emails to get those.
