Auxillary Fitness

I ended up socializing this afternoon so didn’t get to practice tennis. The only thing I did to further this goal was my cardio and calisthenics workout in the morning.

I ran a mile while bouncing a tennis ball and catching it to exercise cardio and hand-eye coordination. And then I did pullups, pushups, and dips.

The goal is to be able to do 15 pullups in one set. In the prime of my fitness back in highschool I could do 18. Now I’m very weak. Can only manage four! Wow, a long way ahead of me!

If four is very weak then zero must be absolutely enfeebled.

Thanks, Jason!

Well Brandon it’s relative. I’m used to having done way more so for me it’s weak. For someone who’s not used to doing one maybe zero is not that weak lol

No, I admit it. I’m definitely weak in the pull-up department. I’ve never been able to do one.

Bucketlist Item? Be able to do one push up?

abrahamKim  •  25 Jul 2021, 2:47 am

I can do push-ups, though not as many as I should be able to. At some point I do hope to execute a pull up.

How many can you do in one set on a good day?

Also have you thought about lifting weights? Increasing muscle mass is one of the best ways to increase your metabolic health since each pound of muscle gobbles up X amount of glucose on demand.

Not many. Yes, I’ve dabbled with resistance training. My biggest concern with it is avoiding injuries. That’s a new map with a level that’s a little too high for the level of my current character.
