Back where I started

I often find myself searching for a better task management app, even though Apple Reminders already does everything I need it to do. Perhaps it is the eternal quest for the mythical “killer app”, the one application that promises to organise every task, email, project and note in a single perfect system. This week, that quest led me to take a closer look at Things 3.
At first glance, Things 3 looked polished and appealing. The interface is beautiful, and many people swear by it. What really caught my attention was the ability to save emails as tasks while maintaining a link back to the original message. As someone who receives a steady stream of emails requiring follow-up, I found that feature ideal. Unfortunately, reality did not quite match my expectations. I spent far longer than I intended trying to make the workflow work the way I wanted. The more I experimented, the more complicated the process became. Instead of feeling productive, I grew increasingly frustrated.
Eventually, I stepped back and asked myself why I was trying so hard to replace something that already works. Apple Reminders may not be perfect, but it is simple, reliable, and integrated into my daily routine. For now, the search is over, and Reminders remains my trusted task manager.
Time for an AI agent as your task manager.
