Balik Kampung

If you’re not familiar with the term “Balik Kampung,” it means returning to one’s hometown. Today, I took my family and parents to our hometown to celebrate the festival and visit our relatives.

The place where my parents grew up is no longer the same. Most of it has been replaced by new factories. However, they shared their old memories with my kids. The purpose of this visit was to meet with some of our relatives who still reside there. Although many have moved out, there are still some who live there.

It’s great to know that there are still places that connect us to our roots!
