Best case scenario

Our brains are made to spot danger and risks. Therefore, we’re so good at imagining the worst case scenario. Thankfully most of the times it doesn’t come true. However, we waste lots of time and energy worrying about unnecessary things. What if instead, or at least in addition we anticipated the best case scenario? What if everything did work out?
What if our hopes, wishes and wildest dreams did become true? How would we feel? What would we do? And more importantly: What would we no longer do?
For me, it would be less pushing, less hustling, for approval, for recognition, for belonging. I’d probably be less restless and perfectionistic. I’d believe that I’m deserving of all the goodness. I’d trust that whatever I do is good enough and that the things that are meant to work out, do.
I’d look forward to all the good that is awaiting me.
It’s almost like we’re hardwired to give more weight to dangers and scarcity. Seems rightly so given our hunter-gatherer lineage. I find learning how to rewire our brains to abundance to be like my life’s work - challenging but rewarding.
