Bright Holiday - Day 3

I started my third day of holidays with a nice run around Bright. After yesterday’s rain, the pavement was still a bit wet, with many puddles to jump. After my run, my daughter and I took the dogs for a walk and had a coffee and croissant at a local cafe. I don’t understand why the rest of the family felt the need to sleep in, they were missing the best part of the day.

By 9.00 am, I had to settle in for work. I had negotiated with my boss to work remotely for three days this week. I wanted to save some of my annual leave for my trip later in the year, so this week is a holiday you have when you’re not having a holiday.

My work colleagues were all sceptical that I was doing any work. I am sure they had me sitting beside the pool with a good book, not doing any work. This couldn’t be the furthest from the truth. I had some reports to finish for a meeting on Tuesday, so I sat diligently at the kitchen table and completed a good day’s work.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my day and can now spend some holiday time with the family this evening.
