It is with regret that my wife and I have decided to cancel our Le Puy Camino walk. Last weekend, my wife sustained a leg fracture, and while she might recover before our trip, she is unlikely to regain the necessary fitness and confidence to undertake a demanding 500-kilometre trek over four weeks. Cancelling within the next week means we will only lose our deposit, but if we cancel after July 1st, we risk losing fifty per cent of our fee. Thus, we felt it was wise to cancel the walk early.

Despite everything, our trip remains on track. We still intend to travel to Europe, but we’ll replace our walk with a visit to Scandinavia. While my wife has been to Copenhagen before, this will be my first time in Northern Europe, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. We’ve included Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in our itinerary, offering a delightful mix of cultural highlights, stunning journeys, and authentic local experiences. Our daughters adore Copenhagen and have suggested several fantastic places to eat and activities to enjoy. We are now focused on rescheduling our trip and are eager to explore what Scandinavia has to offer.

This is very sad news. I’m sorry you had to cancel the trip, seeing how much effort you put into the preparation for it. I hope you get to enjoy your alternative plans and things work out for the best.
