They call us emotional-

but it's suits that launch death at dawn.

One man's ego can tilt a continent,

A play-by-play of the same act:

Titles tied with entitlement 

telling you about maps bleeding not from an ordinary turning of the earth,

but from decisions made in cold rooms.

Ambition spent in all the wrong ways,

tampering with the ideals of living that took centuries to earn.

But we will not sleep with our eyes wide open,

we will face the same Home we've always done to pray

for a globe less bruised, 

for the lump in our throats to ease into a breath 

that is not so hard to swallow.
