Day of days

I had been feeling like a million dollars for days.

It had to do with all the progress I was making in porting josbinenglish.dk to Django.

But life has its ways of reminding you how it all is.

For starters, money started "disappearing" from my bank account, and it's only the 6th of the month.

The bills from having to keep two places (our house and bills in Denmark while it's still up for sale) and our "normal" life in Spain (having to buy things we had in Denmark but couldn't bring during the move, and so on).

Then, it was the issue of porting the frontend. I struggled for two days in a row to figure out why certain styles worked but some others didn't. It was a combination of using the boilerplate (and it not being correctly configured) and me not figuring it out soon enough, but also being incompetent with many things about it (Docker, Tailwind config, etc.).

Then, I went into a bit of a rabbit hole with job boards, and suddenly found myself in a sort of analysis paralysis or seeing the grass being greener on the other side. We are only human.

After a little bit of refocusing, and getting the damn Tailwind watch process working (and seeing my changes applied), I bounced a little bit back from this rut.

The intrusive thoughts of self doubt are still there, but I acknowledge them, and keep continue trying to keep them at bay.
