Decks and documents

It’s weird to see my ideas come to life in an afternoon. Last Friday I decided to expand the Rhetorical Slides app. Can I use one file to generate a slide deck, and a website?

Part one is done and embedded in the app. I can now switch between a Deck view and a Document view. The document view promotes the notes to a single canvas where I can edit the section titles and notes as a document, and designate slides that get exported with the document.

Part two is mostly done. I have a basic website export tool. I can can group slide decks together and import them. I can also embed the slide presenter in the web page. I still need to add site styles, but Claude went down so I guess it’s time to take a break.

Bit by bit I’m building my perfect writing environment.

Document mode example
I can now toggle between Deck and Document views. In this document view I can edit the notes on a single page, and pick slides to include as inline images. The same file is a slide deck, an article, and a web page.
