Digital abacus

My dad plays solitaire to help pass the time. I’m hoping to make my old-age activity the soroban abacus, but I’m neglecting my practice. I’m still learning to read the abacus, add, and subtract. The basics. I finally decided to ask Claude to make a soroban practice bench.
It’s a digital abacus. Of course, all abaci are digital. But this is what Claude made offhand with only one tweak to the abacus dimensions. The plan is to grow the app as I learn, adding lessons and drills built around the abacus sim. Getting the animations to match actual finger movements is the next planned upgrade.
This is exactly the kind of AI use I love. Using AI to learn, not to offload thinking.
