Diving into deep research

Currently with my Gemini subscription I can run 20 deep research queries every day. Earlier this week I decided to hit that limit. It took a good bit of work to run the queries and process them. I leaned on AI to help me generate the queries and leaned on AI again to summarize the findings. If I could sustain that every day, how much research could I generate in a single year?

  • 7.3 thousand reports
  • 84 thousand pages
  • 30 million words
  • 168 reams of paper
  • 840 lbs. of paper

That’s a ridiculous amount of research. I’ll never hit that mark, but these research reports are becoming increasingly useful for me. What used to be too much work now takes a few minutes to start researching. Here are a few things I researched this week.

  • My brother’s farm, nearby competitors, and several agribusiness reports specific to his location. I’m hoping this gives me some conversation topics.
  • Air fryer cuisine including tips adapted from professional chefs. I ended up buying some silicon ramekins to cook eggs and individual cookies.
  • Using Slack to connect to Claude Code and GitHub Pages to create a chat-based author website manager. I’m still deciding if I want to set this up myself, but I did upload a video on the topic.
