My friend Andy had been using email aliases for fifteen years. When I started to use them, I reached out to him to check in and ask if he was still using alias emails. He confirmed that he was and had a whopping 497 alias emails. His dedication to the task always impressed me, but I also realised that managing that many emails manually would be a real hassle. Consequently, I decided to use an online tool to help me manage my alias emails more efficiently.

SimpleLogin is a helpful tool that allows me to create unlimited aliases. It helps protect my primary email address from spam and phishing. I can assign different aliases for various purposes, like signing up for newsletters, creating accounts on websites, or communicating with strangers. It lets me keep your primary email address confidential and prevents unwanted emails from flooding my inbox. It’s a secure and convenient way to manage your online identity and safeguard your privacy.

I already have up to 150 aliases and have a long way to go to catch up to Andy. I can see the impact on my primary inbox in just a few days.

Best thing about aliases is, if there is a data breach on one of your accounts, you know exactly which service provider leaked data (if you’re using one alias for one service).
