End in sight

After nearly 18 months from the initial idea to the final touches, our fence is nearly finished and represents much more than just a new look for the house. There’s a special satisfaction in watching a long-term home project come together. I must admit, it feels like a significant achievement. What began as a simple idea nearly 18 months ago has travelled a surprisingly long way from conception to completion. We had plans to consider, council delays, decisions to make, and a lot of patience along the way. Now, we can finally step back and enjoy the outcome.
We built the fence mainly to make the front yard safer and more enjoyable for Louie and Otis. Until now, I often felt uneasy letting them roam the front without close supervision. Now that the fence is nearly finished, that will change. They’ll have a new space to explore, sniff, and enjoy outside, while I can relax knowing they’re safely contained. It’s interesting how something as simple as a fence can significantly impact a home. After 18 months, it’s rewarding to see the end in sight. The doggies will be very happy.
