End of the Year Trips

The end of the year is coming along, and so the density of appointments gets higher. Interestingly, I feel like that happens every year, but it also seems there is no way around it.
On Friday, my brother and I will be attending a Tesla Club Event in the southern part of Styria. We will be able to drive the Cybertruck on Friday, visit a local chocolate Factory (I’ve been there several times already, but it’s always fun) on Saturday, have a “pirate” party on Saturday evening and a relaxing convoy drive on Sunday.
After that, I’ve got a packed week of working before we will head for Cologne and Hamburg on 7th October. I’m really looking forward to this trip and what awesome stuff the Polaris Convention will have to offer. We’ll also visit the largest cigar reseller in Europe on 8th October in Düsseldorf.
We should return on the 14th of October, followed by a Powerwolf concert on the 23rd October. Followed by the Comic Convention in Vienna at the end of November (23rd).
Luckily, we are getting our 14th Income in November (13th is in June), but those are still some expensive trips (especially the Tesla Club one and the Hamburg trip). I should have enough money budgeted, but you never know until you start spending.

The head of the company that had the training event this weekend is German. Actually, I think he said he’s from Bavaria. I asked him about Arnold’s favorite drink of combining beer and lemonade, and he recommended his own version of 1/2 beer and 1/2 Sprite. I didn’t understand what he called it, but he said serve it ice cold and it’s spectacular. Sound familiar?

@jasonleow I heard from one of the coworking space owners that the coworking community in Bali is relatively large. It’s definitely on my travel list.
@therealbrandonwilson Well, there is “Radler” but as you’ve said, it’s half beer, half lemonade, but not Sprite as far as I know (I think Sprite would be too sweet for it), but I’m not sure. I know Radler is one of Arnold’s favourites. There is also a saying that “Radler isn’t alcohol” (used as an excuse; and if you’re drinking it “beer enjoyers” look down on you, but that’s just some excuse for the alcoholics). What’s also an interesting combination is beer with Coca-Cola, called “Diesel”.

Coincidentally planning my year end trips for family too! Going to Bali
