Family breakfast

One thing I really value is the regular breakfast catch-ups I have with my daughters. We often alternate weeks, meeting at one of our favourite local bakeries for fresh pastries, good coffee, and, most importantly, time together. It has become a simple routine, but one that means a great deal to me. This morning was a little different and even more special. Instead of catching up with just one of my daughters, the whole family came along. My wife and both daughters joined me for breakfast, turning our usual catch-up into a family occasion. Nothing particularly elaborate, just the four of us sitting around a table, enjoying pastries and coffee, talking, laughing, and catching up on life.

As I get older, I appreciate these moments even more than I once did. Life moves quickly, and everyone has their own commitments, so finding time to be together isn’t always easy. That’s what makes mornings like this feel especially precious. I’m incredibly grateful for my family and the close relationship we share. These simple, everyday moments of sharing time and enjoying one another’s company make me happier than the big occasions. They remind me how meaningful it is to slow down and be together.
