Fantasy title cards

More adventures in AI image generation! Today I put together a process I can use for images on my fiction newsletter, The Winkletter. I’m redesigning the layout and will be publishing fiction that matches the fantasy brand promise I want to make.
AI poetry and images of cute little teacups don’t fit on that particular tea tray.
So, here’s my new process for creating images.
- To start I generated some patterns in Stable Diffusion
- Also generated smoke and magic effects as transparency masks
- As well as some silhouettes of fantasy characters
- And I generated a couple hundred silver frames
This work is now all done, and I can pick and choose from these resources. Here I’m putting together an image for Hylok, the trickster god of my particular universe.
- In Canva I enter in a character name
- In Krita I then skew this how I want it
- I run the result through Stable Diffusion XL to get the text effect
- I add in a pattern, some smoke effects, and a silhouette
- I run this back through Stable Diffusion img2img to merge everything
- I then drop this into one of the prepared frames
As if turns out, the next TRIZ principle I am focusing on is Merging. This is actually the main reason I started working on this process today. I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, but my daily experiments pushed me to set this up.
This principle involves bringing together identical or similar objects, parts, or operations to improve efficiency, increase effectiveness, or achieve synergy. By combining elements in space or time, you can often create a more streamlined, powerful, or advantageous system.
By applying the principle of “Merging,” you can often create more efficient, effective, or powerful systems by bringing together identical or similar elements in space or time. This principle encourages you to look for opportunities to combine, consolidate, or integrate parts, operations, or systems to achieve synergies and improve overall performance.
