Flight Sim Video

This morning we mounted the first of the two photovoltaic panels on my balcony. My dad bought some dampers that are now attached to that panel and hold it almost horizontal. If I need the space on my balcony, I can simply disengage the dampers and set it almost vertically. Perfect.

Afterwards, I went to chill on the Couch a little bit and watch some Twitch Livestreams. I managed to get up in the late afternoon and record a Flight Simulator video. Until now, I made my first steps in DaVinci Resolve, the new editing program I want to learn. It is crazy how many silence parts and “ahms” I could cut out. With the one-hour footage I’ve got, I managed to cut out around 10 minutes. I never expected it to be such a hassle, to be honest. I think I will continue cutting tomorrow. For now, it is time to got to bed.

I’ve dabbled with video editing, and I agree it’s a pain. Let everyone else do video, and I’ll stick with audio content.

I think I’ll get used to it the more I do it, but the learning curve seems to be steep. Audio is something I’ll have a look at when I start my cigar podcast sometime in the future.

I’ve heard podcasters recommend Descript for this, but I think the DaVinci Resolve paid version also added some transcript-based editing features.

I heard about Descript before, but didn’t have a usecase for it yet.
