Home again

After a delightful week away, returning home still feels uniquely special. While travel is thrilling, nothing beats the comfort and familiarity of home. As soon as we entered, I instantly slipped back into familiar routines. My first habit after returning from a trip is to unpack immediately, preferring to put everything away rather than leave suitcases out for days. Once that’s completed, I quickly focus on household chores and tasks.

But prior to anything else, there was a more crucial task. We went to our friend’s house to pick up Louie and Otis. The instant they saw us, their excitement was undeniable. Their tails wagged wildly, they jumped around joyfully, and they overwhelmed us with love. Their reaction instantly brought to mind how much I had missed them during the past week.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, having the dogs return home truly finalised everything and brought a sense of complete joy. Their familiar faces, cheerful presence, and constant companionship made the house feel like home once more, filling it with warmth and love. It was an ideal ending to a fantastic trip and the perfect start to settling in happily back home, feeling content and at ease.
