How to think about writing

They say, “write what you know.” For me that means I should leverage my deep knowledge in the art of avoidance. Maybe it’s time to start assembling a book on how to think about writing (instead of writing).

Ideogram put together a pretty good cover design that reminds me of the Gordian Knot. And honestly, the more I look at the cover, the more convinced I am that this is a secretly sneaky book concept. I could write about my struggles to change the way I think about writing, where I’m learning to write in order to think rather than thinking before I attempt to write. It’s definitely one concept to pitch onto the pile of potential projects.

Now you can just get AI to highlight the reviews for you. It’s harder to procrastinate these days.

@Winkletter Dude… you should 1000% write this! When I saw the book cover, it was screaming you. I think you got interesting ideas and concepts about writing. Just compile an anthology of posts from here on Lifelog, edit it a bit, and publish! I’d buy (especially with that book cover).

@jasonleow I already have the title for chapter one: Make Your Own Book Cover (to Avoid Writing)

@Winkletter Do it

I was about to add the book title to my reading list. 🤣
It also reminded me of the time I wanted to write a book. But instead of working on the book, I printed out Amazon reviews of popular books and highlighted what people liked and didn’t like about the books.
It was PURE planning and thinking about writing, creating more (not less) distance between me and writing a book.
