I bought the house

Last Thursday I finally signed the buying contract at a nearby notary. I got the bank approval just a week before, and now I have to wait until the notary approved contract is finished so I can sign the credit contract at the bank. If I get lucky, it should be done this week, though knowing how long it took for the bank to write the approval, it might take another week.
Interestingly, quite a few people already talked to me about my current Apartment. I thought it might take quite a while to get some offers, but actually, I’ve got three direct interests and when I called my estate agent, she said there were also around five more requests.
Besides that, I also got a quote to buy my car out of the leasing contract, which I’ll do with the house financing, to reduce my monthly bills.
Still, I’m felling a bit overwhelmed by the whole situation, to be honest. That’s also why I am writing about it now and not last Thursday. It took some time to order my thoughts, and I think it will take quite some time until I fully realise I’m a homeowner now.
I’ll do an in-depth explanation of the financing as soon as I get the contracts. I’m also already thinking about doing some YouTube videos for my channel, but for now, it’s waiting again.

Got the numbers, got lists of things to order for home automation, and already started packing some things. I hope I can move by the end of July.
I’m buying the Tesla from the Lease. The lease would have continued until next March, but I’m buying it early. I’m probably going to drive it for years to come :)

Oh, I misread that. So you factored in a charging port in the garage?

Of course. Since the house was/is part of an old farmyard, there are 400V outlets everywhere :)

Congrats! I hope the waiting and uncertainty pass quickly! 🤲🏻
@therealbrandonwilson Haha! I thought the same thing! 🤣
For a second, I thought this was Peter’s post. Congratulations! I remember the overwhelming feeling when I bought my house. It feels like you’re in over your head, but I’m sure you squared away all the numbers before you took the plunge. And no more Tesla?! I’m sure you’ve already got a spot picked out for the grill and scoping out where you’ll be having that first celebratory cigar.
