I got the keys

Today I got the keys to my house. Although the whole process with the notary is not done, I convinced the broker to do the handover now, as my brother and I will drive to the DoKomi Convention tomorrow and afterwards the Broker is not available.

Since I packed a whole load of my belongings over the past couple of weeks, we also managed to transport a bunch of things over today. It’s only a few minutes drive from my Apartment, so moving stuff isn’t that much of a hassle, besides the two flights we have to decent (without elevator) in the Apartment House.

I was overwhelmed before, but seeing what needs to be done in the house before I can move in (painting walls, laying some new floors, networking, power, …) I feel like I’m even more overwhelmed.

Well, at least I’ve got a few days of “vacation” before the working stars. I’ve got the rest of next week also PTO and hope to get at least some major things done. We’ll see.
