I like Arc

I like Arc from The Browser Company, which is a new chrome-based browser with some twists! I m lucky to get the invite last year, but I finally gave it a full test this week. Within an hour, I decided to replace my Google Chrome with Arc.

So things that I like

1. The top part moves to the sidebar; now, all the bookmarks, tabs, URLs, and settings are at the left sidebar.

2. You can switch space. Each space has its own colour, bookmarks and quick links. For example, I have personal, work and product space; each caters for different needs.

3. The extension is on the right side, mouse over and floating out. Not all extension is working, although this is a Chrome base browser like Google Chrome. But it allows me to use WallingApp without issue!

4. Built-in note, draw and screenshot features.

5. It’s chrome based, so it renders most of the site just like using Google Chrome, and I can still use the developer to debug through the console, so changing this to my default browser doesn’t affect my work much!

What I don’t like includes

1. Pricing - there is no pricing yet; I m worried once I am addicted to this browser but don’t like the pricing; how?

2. I Can’t swap the sidebar to the right side.

3. It doesn’t sync with the Google profile
