I might buy a house

So, I’ve written about this topic in the past. I grew up in a house and the end goal was always to own my house. Well, a few weeks back, an older house (from the 80s) showed up in my automated search.
The price point was quite intriguing, so I thought it might be time and finally start looking at one. Beforehand, I was only checking listings if something interesting came up. Most of the time, the newly listed houses were far too expensive, even in the current interest and pricing times.
So I wrote an email to the estate agent and had a closer look at the house the week after. I was quite pleased with the good condition of the house. No leaking cellar, no problematic building materials, and quite a large space in general (about 160 square metres of living space and almost 2000 square metres of garden).
Of course, the house is old and there are a few things to do besides the obvious (repainting walls for example), but nothing too major. Sure, the heating system should be switched from oil/wood to pellets and a photovoltaic on the roof wouldn’t hurt. But nothing too expensive to do to go living in it.
Since I tend to listen to my guts on such kinds of decisions, I had an appointment with my financial advisor to see if it is even possible to finance such a home for me (I still got the mortgage on my Apartment).
Well, it turns out it would be finance able. Not easily, but doable. I talked to my parents about it, and I’m now in the phase of waiting for banks to get back with a payment plan.
If everything goes to plan, I might be moving in mid-June. Crazy times. People can’t afford to buy groceries, and I’m thinking about buying a house. Well, to be honest, I’m already in the middle of buying it. Only the bank response and a trip to the notary are missing to get the deal. I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you! To be honest, I’m really looking forward to owning it. I already made plans to the setup networking and home automation 🙈

Exciting times! “People CAN’T afford to buy groceries, and I’m thinking about buying a house.” It is great to resonate at the frequency of abundance.
