imknight & blog

I started my personal blog on WordPress quite early; I reckon it was around the time when WordPress was still called b2. I blogged from 2004 to 2017 on WordPress under the domain imknight.net. The reason I chose the .net domain is that I thought I was just blogging for my personal interest, and a .net seemed more suitable than a .com domain. After I stopped blogging in 2017, I converted the entire blog into a static page and left it as it was.
I began my developer/maker blog on Ghost around 2021 after taking a break for a few years. This time, I wanted to have a fresh start, so I set up the blog on imknight.com because I thought it was time to build a personal brand and become an indie hacker + maker by selling products online.
Fast forward to 2024: my maker blog hasn’t really gained much traffic or attracted the audience I desired. However, I feel inclined to create another personal site or log to document things I build. It serves a different purpose than my blog; it should quickly list down the things I have created and what I have accomplished. That’s why I have set it up on imknight.dev.
These are three different stages of my life, using three different domains. And why am I sharing this? I have just revamped and migrated imknight.net—let me share more about this soon.
