Lunch with friend

Yesterday, I met my friend in Singapore for lunch before she moves to Australia with her family for the next three years, possibly six.

We have known each other for at least 16 years. I worked at one of Singapore’s island resorts as an Application Support, and she joined as an Admin Executive. For some reason, she began spending more time with our IT department, and after collaborating on some projects, she became part of our department group. We’ve been good friends ever since.

Over the years, we haven’t stayed in touch very often, but we try to catch up whenever possible. Among those who left the island, we are the only two who still keep in contact. There’s so much to talk about when we meet; we love having lunch together and chatting.

I’m going to miss her and hope to visit her in Australia soon.
