Massive update on new features

Hey Lifeloggers! Massive update on all the new features shipped since the last post on the search page feature in October 2024:

1/ Inline search 🧐

• Added an inline search feature for both markdown and rich text editors. Now it’s much easier to search for past posts on Lifelog while writing. Thanks to @drodol for the idea!
• Hit Cmd+L / Ctrl+L shortcut hotkey to trigger the search posts popup for faster search
• More to come: Search filters like author, date range.

2/ Custom Time Hops ⏲

• 2024’s favourite feature just got an upgrade - added custom Time Hop feature on home page.
• Now that some of us have multiple years of posts, you can save custom Time Hops to always show posts from 2 or 3 years or more, to show back more of your content. Happy reminiscing!
• Side-note: This setting is saved locally on your browser, so the custom Time Hops will not be displayed on other browsers/devices.

3/ One-click to mark notifications as read 🙈

• When there are multiple notifications related to the same post on notification page, clicking on any one of the notification or visiting the post would mark all related notifications as read. Thanks to @Lobacrow for the idea!
• Also fixed a display bug on the notification page when clicking “Load more” causes the feed to flash.
• Added skeleton loading for the notifications page for nicer aesthetics

4/ Writing Prompts For Daily Writing tool 🔮

• Add a free tool Writing Prompts For Daily Writing - a SEO growth hack. While this doesn’t help current users directly, the hope is that it’s the first step in helping the project grow and be financially sustainable.

5/ Tags for posts, tag pages 🏷

• Now you can add/edit tags to posts! Tags are great for cross-referencing multiple posts of a similar topic/theme. For example, posts about “Baking” can have tags like “Bread” or “Cakes”. Thanks to @Winkletter for the idea!
• Click on the tags on the post to see all posts tagged to that tag. You can also filter to see only your posts with the tag, for example daily-fiction.

6/ Other minor fixes ⚒️

• No more accidental double posting! Added loader for publish button on both markdown and rich text editor so our trigger fingers won’t post twice.
• Fixed forest and rain sounds on both editors.
• Finally added a proper footer after five years. FIVE.
• Added terms & conditions and privacy policy pages. Not that that matters to you…
