I recently had a live chat with the CEO of Adalo, and the results were positive. We both acknowledged that Adalo had previously focused more on raising funds or selling the company rather than improving its products. Now, the new CEO is dedicated to building the product and revitalizing Adalo—bringing it back to its roots.

The meeting concluded with several key points:

  1. My subscription fees have been waived to acknowledge my contribution to more than six free components in the marketplace.
  2. Future components may be offered on a recurring basis rather than as one-time purchases.
  3. The platform is being rebuilt to enhance scalability.
  4. Pricing may be adjusted to more favourable rates.
  5. The action feature will be removed, which should speed up the platform and lower costs.
  6. There may be a server established in Japan to better support Southeast Asian developers.

Overall, the information shared by the CEO was encouraging, but whether these promises will be fulfilled remains to be seen. I plan to give it another year to evaluate how things develop.
