Money Is A Curse

I had some alone-time with my Son earlier today. We grabbed a Starbucks and chilled for an hour together.

I told him about my plans to buy Twitter Affiliate Mastery next week and asked if he was interested to join in and give it a go. He didn’t seem so.

I have to remember that these are my ideas, my desires and thoughts of making some more money on the side. I can’t force anyone to adopt the same mindset as me, even if I am the parent of that person. I like to think I am easy going, leading by example and not enforcing anything on him. He has to find his own path in life, the same as I did.

The problem is that he has some inheritance money sitting in the bank. He doesn’t need to work and if he was careful (and lived at home for the rest of his life) he would probably never have to. Of course, that isn’t ideal - for him or us!

I wonder if I can inspire him to take it up once I can see some results. We could even start a number of Twitter accounts and scale them all up together to make money. If the process works, the benefits could be immense.

How old is your son and what does he seem to be interested in either for a career or hobby?

He is 19 at the moment and doesn’t really have any plans for a career.
His college course (photography) ended during early 2020 when everything was going bad, so he wasn’t able to progress beyond that really.
Hobbies include making music (singing and production) and playing Minecraft.
Actually, today he asked me about the Twitter course, so I have some hope that he will give it a go.
I know he could succeed in what he wants to do, its just finding it first.
