One thing I have always admired about my wife is that, for her, work has never been just about earning a living. It has always been about purpose. She wants to know that what she does matters, that she is making a difference, and that her efforts contribute to something bigger than herself. I find myself agreeing with her more as the years go by. We spend a significant part of our lives at work, so it makes sense to find meaning there. A job that aligns with our values can provide more than a wage. It can bring satisfaction, fulfilment, and a sense of accomplishment that cannot be measured in dollars alone.

Purpose gives me a reason to get out of bed each morning. It helps me push through difficult days and reminds me why my work matters. Whether it is helping people, supporting a community, solving problems, or creating something valuable, purpose turns ordinary tasks into meaningful contributions. Of course, everyone defines purpose differently. What matters is finding something that resonates personally. For my wife, that sense of purpose is essential, as a meaningful career is not just about making a living; it is about building a life that feels worthwhile and making a positive impact along the way.
