I tried to use Apple’s Reminders today after finding out my wife has been using it for the past few months. I want to see if I can replace this with my todoist; I want to know if I can cut some costs for the todoist subscription.

The quick answer is Nope. So I gave up and returned to Todoist after trying it for one day.

The long answer is I believe lots of Todoist features have spoiled me. For example, create a task within one line, including tagging, due date, and listing name. Then, One-click reschedules my task and drag & drop the tasks.

You won’t know the luxury of your current use product until you go and try others!

I find Apple’s reminders work for simple tasks such as reminding me to change my toothbrush head. For personal tasks, I have no need for detailed line items/tagging.

I use Reminders when I need native phone alerts that can trigger without internet. Recently used it to remind me to RT my tweets on schedule.
