Silence Rallye

This afternoon, the “Silence Rallye” of the Tesla Club Austria starts in the southern part of Styria. I bought tickets for my brother and me a few weeks ago, and I’m looking forward to the program.

We will be arriving at a castle at around 3 pm and will have time to take a drive inside Teslas Cybertruck, which officially isn’t available in Europe yet, but some Club members put money together and bought one, brining it to Austria months ago. They are still in the process of getting a permit to officially drive on the roads, but from the last Instagram Reel I saw, they still got temporary licence plates. I wonder when they will get fined because they are breaking the rules that come with the temporary plates.

After that, there will be dinner in the castle hotel followed by a wine tasting and “Sturm und Maroni” (Sturm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federweisser, Maroni are Chestnuts).

Tomorrow we will visit the Zotter Chocolate Factory and NgrKick (a local producer of charging cables). In the evening, there will be a “pirate themed” party. I’m not a huge fan of theme parties, so I only got a pirate hat and an eye patch to “wear”.

On Sunday, there will be a drive through the “Südsteirische Weinstraße” followed by the closing ceremony.

I’ve seen one Cyber Truck in Kuwait, one in Dubai, and I know a friend who got a Cyber Truck in Saudi to market his meal subscription business. Kuwait has a few electric charging stations, but Tesla doesn’t have an official presence here. There are plenty of Teslas in the UAE, though.

Hope you get to enjoy all the experiences that come with this trip!

I see a Cybertruck at least a few times a week driving in my neighborhood. Mr. Cosplay not a fan of theme parties?

@haideralmosawi Interesting to hear. The Cybertruck isn’t official available in Austria, but the Club will offer a service to import them as soon as they got the one they’ve got available. Still a risk as there is no way to get service (and navigation also doesn’t work).

@therealbrandonwilson No, interestingly not.

@jasonleow I’ll upload some today.
