Sloppy Days

I would be working tomorrow if it wasn’t a public holiday. I’ve been on vacation since the 20th December (when we had the Christmas party at our office). I spent the last two days basically doing nothing.

A bit of laundry here and there, but mostly waking up far too late, staying up much too late and napping on the couch in between. I originally intended to do some YouTube recording the past two days, but I wasn’t really in the mood, and I don’t want to record when I’m not in the mood. My buffer is large enough so I can always skip a few days if I’d like to.

Anyway, my idea is to establish the new morning routine tomorrow, so I’ll start with gym right at 6:30 am, we’ll see how that goes.

Sloppy, indeed. Are you doing a reverse retirement? Chilling out now and at some point kicking into high gear?

You may have needed the rest. I experienced a phase of burnout/depression recently. I gave myself a couple of weeks to recover and now I’m excited about the work I’m doing and being more active.

I had the same feeling during my break in Dec. Didn’t want to get back into it!

I needed the rest, for sure. It was the same as I experienced last July / August. At least I know now at what things I need to look out for in the future.
