Spontaneous Healing

I just finished reading a book on spontaneous healing titled - ‘Dying to be me’. It peaked my interest as I would love to experience life without multiple diseases. I was worried that the book would have some theories that would be excessive for my mind but I decided to give it a try regardless.
The author is an Indian lady who was quite young when she was diagnosed with cancer. The book describes her life a few years before that diagnosis and talks about her near death experience. After that NDE, she woke up to her body healing from the cancer completely.
To hear things from the author’s perspective, it is very tempting to believe that spontaneous healing is possible. I am a fan of the placebo effect but to heal from cancer 100% - she is alive till today, decades after the cancer took her life - is still a bit out there.
I want to allow my mind and body to be open to the possibility that I can heal myself. The fact that I worked through 3 big diagnosis with a reversal in 2 of the 3, I find encouraging. The doctors are surprised at my progress so far so I know miracles are possible. But I think it takes more than positive mind to do such things. I had to completely get rid of any source of stress. I had to make a radical change to my food and get a lot of sleep.
But the fact remains that the mind is a powerful things. Miracles are possible. And I have nothing to lose by trying to use my mind to attempt spontaneous healing.
