Team spirit

It was great to catch up with the team as preparations for the upcoming Winton 10 Hour event continue. What started as a relaxed dinner quickly reminded me why I enjoy being involved in motorsport, even though I no longer drive. The conversation began with plenty of banter, stories from previous race meetings, and the usual good-natured ribbing that comes whenever racers and volunteers get together. There was a real sense of camaraderie around the table, with everyone enjoying the chance to catch up after busy weeks of work and family commitments.

Once dinner was finished, we turned our attention to business. It was encouraging to see how much support the team has. Not only are our five drivers locked in and ready to race, but we also have up to nine volunteers willing to assist with timekeeping and the countless other tasks that keep an endurance race running smoothly. What stood out most was the positive attitude in the room. Everyone was in good spirits and genuinely looking forward to the event. The enthusiasm was contagious. With a strong team of drivers and volunteers working together, there is a growing sense that we are well prepared for the challenge ahead. Winton cannot come soon enough.
