The 40 hour week

Working a truly full time job is hard. I know that sounds pathetic. My time and energy resources are just not there for activities like riding my horse, brushing my dog, or refilling the hummingbird feeders. Which means all those things end up being pushed to the weekend, and that makes my weekend fill up fast. I hope I get to have at least some down time to rest and relax this weekend so I can be ready for Monday.

Today’s workout helped my energy levels significantly. I was able to efficiently knock out some tasks on the project I’m working on, and I feel like it’s in a good place for me to get wrapped up early next week.

It is daunting to think about working 40ish hours a week for years and years. But maybe I’ll get accustomed to it and it won’t be so difficult forever.
