The 5 most boring habits that will transform your life

The basics are the most important, yet most ignored because they’re…well, too basic. The best improvements in life often come from doing the simplest things, well.
Here’s the 5 most boring habits you’ll never read in other habit hacking articles, yet this is something I feel compelled to put out exactly because it’s boring and ignored:
1. Sleep - sleep is the first mover of everything you want to do when awake. Without proper, restful, sufficient sleep, productivity hacks are just band aids.
2. Diet - food is fuel, and a wholesome, nutritious diet not just gives you the enough energy but the right kind. If you’ve struggled with junk food coma and then over-compensated with caffeine, you know the feeling.
3. Exercise - movement is life. If we don’t move our bodies, everything else stagnates and atrophies. Pandemic-induced sedentary lifestyles from remote work at home just makes it worse. Move, or be moved around in the future.
4. Great company - we’re mimetic creatures. We’re the average of the 5 people we meet and hang out with frequently. So choose your company wisely. Hang out with those who uplift you, help you, care for you.
5. Writing - I’m biased, but everyone knows the benefits of daily writing but few practise it. Writing or journaling consistently is like mental hygiene - if you can’t go without brushing your teeth or showering, then writing is similar for the mind. It scrubs and cleans and after that you feel better. I’ve been write daily at Lifelog, a writing community for creators, for the past 300+ days. Life-changing, to say the least.
Do these 5 habits well, and you will have no need for other productivity hacks.
Serious. Try it.
