This weekend has been delightful, with friends and family who have celebrated Easter with us for the past 16 years. Throughout this time, I’ve witnessed many of the young children in our group mature. Each year, I would inquire about their activities, and over time, they would share their experiences through adolescence and schooling. Now, when we chat, I find myself speaking with young adults, each carving out their own distinctive life paths. We reminisce about many stories of our experiences over the years, and it is fabulous that even the young adults in the group can articulate their favourite times at Easter over the years.

It is remarkable that these young adults still enjoy joining their parents at Easter. Even as they begin their own lives with friends, they prioritise spending time with their parents and their parents’ friends. Some young adults even made the effort to attend, despite their parents’ absence. This group represents a heartening aspect of their generation. I found myself reflecting on how this younger generation appreciates the significant elements in their parents’ lives and is prepared to carry them forward into their own lives. They never ceased to amaze me.
