To-do automation

I am always trying to find a better way to manage my to-do lists. I have always struggled to find the optimal solution that makes it easy to consolidate all of my to-do items into one application, regardless of where they may originate. For example, I can use Siri on my iPhone to create a reminder verbally, and it will appear in a to-do list in my Microsoft ToDo app.

For to-do items that originate in my Inbox, I use the flag feature, which will automatically show them in the Flagged list in the Microsoft ToDo app. But, I would prefer this feature to be a bit smarter and allocate an email I flag into an appropriate to-do list. For example, if the email I flag is from someone from the Zoom-Zoom club, I would like it to go into the Zoom-Zoom Club to-do list.

So I have been toying with the Power Automate feature in Microsoft 365 and have had some moderate success. It is a bit fiddly, but I am getting my head around it. It has promise.

So Power Automate in M365 is like Zapier but within the MS ecosystem?

Yes, it is. It used to be called Microsoft Flow, but now it’s called Power Automate. Not as snappy as Zapier.
